What would you do if you knew that you could not fail? Someone asked me this once and I thought that it was a completely bogus question. If you knew you could not fail, you would do whatever it is that you wanted to do. I think the more appropriate question is, what would you do if you were never afraid to fail? The answer is just as simple as from the other question, but it is much more realistic. The answer to this question is, You would take a chance even if you would fail more times then you would succeed. This is the question that drove me to opening my first photography studio in Austin TX. All I heard for 10 months prior to grand opening was, it is to dangerous to start a business these days. The economy is bad. No one has money to spend. The risk outweighs the reward. Don’t do it!!! But what would I do if I was never afraid? That is the only question I could think about. So I took that chance, and now I get to live my dream of taking professional photographs everyday. Wedding photos, Senior Portraits, Families, Models, you name it, and I am shooting it, and I could not be happier. Studio DLB Photography started off very small but has grown to be a serious player in professional photography in Austin TX. I have located the studio in in South Central Austin, in the Famous SoCo district. Within our photography studio’s first few months, we have had many successes and are looking forward to many many more. We are not a big chain photography studio, so we are not limited to what we can accomplish with an open mind. At the same time we are not super over priced. Balance is where we have found our success. Highly artistic portraits at affordable prices is the reality in which we live. Granted it is not easy to start up a photography studio, much less any other type of small business. Hours and hours of hard work are put into making a dream a reality. No shortcuts, no early days! In order to succeed in this market, you have to go further then anyone else is willing to go. Photography is my dream, it is what this company is based on. Going after what other people would not because they are to afraid to try.

How to Market your Photography Studio with Postcards
Saturday, February 19th, 2011Customers are considered the source of your income and contribute to the growth of your business. This is why marketing your photography studio to your ideal clients is a basic necessity. However, with the number of marketing messages they receive everyday, how can you make sure that your message gets noticed? You can do this by mailing them promotional postcards. The good thing about postcards is that they are delivered straight to your customer’s mailbox, giving your message the chance to get noticed. Below are tips you should remember when marketing your photography studio with postcards:Postcard Marketing Tips for your Photography Studio• Focus on your mailing list. Sure, mailing your postcards to many prospective customers allows your message to reach a large number of people. But doing so is like wasting your efforts, because your postcards should be mailed to the right people to make your campaign effective. Come to think of it, will you be able to get a positive response if your campaign is targeted at the wrong market? Not a chance. The best thing that you should do is to focus all your marketing efforts on the people in your mailing lists.• Present yourself like a friend. Instead of designing your postcards with your company name and logo, why not make you cards look like a mail from a friend? Customers will easily notice your cards and increases their chances of getting read. When it comes to writing your content, make sure to talk to your customers like a friend instead of a company. Address their needs and make them feel that you understand; that you have a solution for their problems.• Highlight your field of expertise. Concentrating on the field you excel at, makes you look more confident while promoting your photography studio. Emphasizing your field of expertise also helps clients to recognize you in the sea of other photography studios competing for their attention. Whether you are specializing in child or wedding photography, make sure that your cards reflect your expertise.• Get them to act now! After reading your postcards, what do you want your customers to do? Do you want them to visit your website? Try your photography services? Or give you a call? Make sure that you provide clear instructions on your cards to get the response that you want.Remember that postcards can help you elicit a positive response from clients if you know how to utilize them properly. Follow the tips above and choose a reputable postcards printing company to ensure the success of your postcard marketing campaign.
